There’s a Daytona 500 Sale at Kroger this week, but don’t get too excited. Honestly, the prices aren’t that much of a sale. No $ off when you buy a certain number of items, or even a Catalina like in previous years. Instead, Kroger is offering digital coupons which can come off up to 5 times per transaction for each item. But remember that if you have a digital coupon loaded, you cannot use a paper coupon. So choose your coupons carefully, because paper coupons will double up to $.50 at our Louisville Kroger stores, whereas e-coupons do not double.
You can load each digital coupon once between February 10 – February 20 and then one more time between February 17 – February 27. Each coupon can be used on up to five of the same items but only in one transaction. If you buy four and then go back in to get the fifth you forgot, the coupon will not come off.
All the digital coupons state the following: “You can use these coupons up to 5 times in a single transaction. You cannot use these coupons in more than one transaction or in different transactions on different days.”
To me, this is a very disappointing (not to mention confusing!) way to do business. If you’d like to see a list of what’s listed in the Daytona “sale,” visit this post.
