My sweet grandma came to visit us for two weeks, finally flying home on Thursday. While she was here, a few of our regular activities got put on the back burner so we could spend time with her. Blogging was one of those things.
We took advantage of the Kids Bowl Free program, which allows children to bowl two free games each day from May through September. Two of them needed to rent bowling shoes, but they were just $1.25 per pair. What a great afternoon of frugal fun! It was so much fun for Grandma that we ended up going twice!
While Grandma was here, she got to see turtles, deer, wild turkeys, and goats. We also grilled out, made microwave s’mores, and lit a sky lantern just like in Disney movie Tangled. She was also here for Kimberlie’s second high school graduation (the first one was in Pensacola, Florida, with her A Beka Academy classmates).
Now I’m fast-forwarding to VBS planning mode. I cannot believe it will be here in less than three weeks! There is so much work left to do for our Kingdom Chronicles VBS. I did want to show you the awesome costumes we ended up with, thanks to the clearance sales at Buy Costumes. I hope you were able to get some great deals with that sale, too!
Stay tuned as I try to wade through my inboxes and throw some great deals up here. . . before I take the little guy to the doctor this afternoon for his persistent cough.
