What’s the best way to organize my coupons?
There are many methods of coupon organization to choose from. I’ve used several methods, including a storage box with a handle, an elaborate binder system with baseball card inserts, and even something I call the “insert method.” Click on each link for examples of each system; then choose the one that fits best with your lifestyle.
What’s an e-coupon?
The “e” part of e-coupon stands for “electronic.” In other words, this is a coupon you don’t have to physically cut out! Certain grocery stores, like the Kroger family of stores, allow e-coupons to be loaded to their store loyalty cards, and those coupons come off at face value automatically at the register when you purchase the required item. Many stores don’t allow both a paper coupon and an e-coupon to be used on the same item, but some do. Check your store policy to make sure. Want more information on e-coupons? What can I do if the cashier won’t take my coupon?
It’s helpful before you go into a store to take a look at that store’s coupon policy. First, check to make sure you’re buying the product the coupon specifies. Sometimes not even the cashiers know what the store’s policy is. It’s fine to talk to a store manager, but above all, let’s remember to treat others the way we would want to be treated if we made a mistake.
