I mentioned this yesterday on the L2BF Facebook page, but wanted to mention it here, too, since it’s still available.
Snag this FREE Kindle book, 40 Unforgettable Dates with Your Mate while it’s still FREE. Since this is a Kindle book, you’ll receive it immediately. That gives you plenty of time to implement some of the ideas before Valentine’s Day!
Remember: you don’t have to have a real Kindle to read this. You can read in on your computer, a tablet, or even a smartphone that has a Kindle app!
Here’s a great freebie for helping you keep with your New Year’s goal to be more organized. (That was one of your goals, right?)
Go here to download a FREE Kindle copy of this book, Organized Simplicity. The hardcover edition is $11.55, so this is quite a savings. Remember that you don’t have to have a Kindle to take advantage of these free books. You can download a FREE Kindle for PC app to read to your heart’s content!

I am a serious booklover, and a love of books is something that I’ve been passionate about passing on to my children. I still remember my first grade teacher telling me, “It doesn’t matter how poor you are. You can go anywhere in a book!” So when the concept of an electronic book came to be, I wasn’t impressed since I have long been a fan of the traditional book.
Then I stopped to think about the implications. Yes, I would prefer a real hold-it-in-your-hand book, but really, the whole point is that the person is still reading, isn’t it? For instance, there have been times when my library has been out of the book I was looking for, but I discovered there was a copy of the book in the large print edition, which I promptly snatched up. Hey, a book is a book, regardless of the format. I think that ought to apply to electronic books, as well.
Granted, I’m not planning on spending $139 on a Kindle reader, but when I discovered that I could Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice! It warms this mama’s literature-loving heart, too!)
Once you’ve downloaded the Kindle for PC program, you’ll want to find some FREE Kindle books to enjoy. You can also get a Kindle app on your smartphone if you have an iPhone, Droid, or Blackberry. Amazon now also allows Prime members to borrow books on the Kindle without even having to purchase them. Very cool!
Here are a few FREE Kindle books, including several for Christmas. Click on the picture of each one to download it.
The Secret by Beverly Lewis (borrow for FREE)
The Missing by Beverly Lewis (borrow for FREE)
Lie Down in Green Pastures: The Psalm 23 Mysteries
The Gift of the Magi by O. Henry
And the list goes on! There are tons of free ebooks available on Amazon if you do a search for “free kindle books.” If you’re willing to forego the fact that you’re reading an electronic book rather than a physical book, this is a really frugal way to read!
I do have to admit, though, that curling up with a good laptop doesn’t sound quite as cozy as curling up with a good book.
Here’s a fabulous offer to download Don’t Make Me Come Up There: Quiet Moments for Busy MomsFREE for the Kindle. I’ve heard great things about this e-book, although I haven’t taken the time to read it yet. It’s definitely my favorite price! The author, Kristen Welch, has a great parenting website, We Are THAT Family that I encourage you to check out after you’ve fallen in love with her humor in the book.
As always, Kindle book prices may change at any time. I highly recommend you snatch this one up while it’s still FREE. You can read it anytime after that.

Even more impressive is the collection of FREE books I can download to the program and read at my leisure. I was excited to find several classics available. (My 15-year-old is engrossed in Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice at the moment! It warms this mama’s literature-loving heart, too!)
